Hi Ciaran,

When adding the Google analytics code to the website using the custom code option via template styles it is then displaying in front end.
If you paste the code into header it displays in the header, if you paste into body it displays in the footer. Is there a reason for this?

I am using the Maya template.

Thanks,
Terry

Hi Terry

Strange. May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Thank you

When adding your Analytics code ensure to add the full embed code rather than just he tracking ID...

<!-- Global Site Tag (gtag.js) - Google Analytics -->
<script async src="/https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=GA_TRACKING_ID"></script>
<script>
window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
gtag('js', new Date());

gtag('config', 'GA_TRACKING_ID');
</script>

I have updated your code and should be now working correctly.
