Hello everyone,

I'd be interested to know how you're currently handling the future of your Joomla websites, since Joomla 51 is unfortunately no longer being developed.
What alternatives are you using? Are you planning to switch to a different template provider or even a different CMS?
Or have you found your own solutions to keep your existing sites running?

I'm eager to hear about your experiences and opinions.

Best regards,
Marcel

Hi everyone,

I wrote in one of my previous posts that my modified version of SKYLAR_J4 works under J6 with the J6 compatibility plugin disabled. That was a bit exaggerated: If I disable the J6 compat plugin, the template settings are no longer functional. In other words: To modify the template settings, I have to (temporarily) enable the J6 compat plugin. All the rest of the sites (frontend and backend) works fine with the J6 compat plugin disabled.

Regarding the modified version: On one hand, I would be fine with distributing my version to other users. On the other hand, I don't want to undermine Joomla51's business (should Ciàran show up again over time). Therefore, I would give away my version of SKYLAR to everybody who can provide a proof that he/she purchased SKYLAR_J4 (i.e. by sending a screenshot of his/her purchase history from the Joomla51 site).

Regards,
Rolf

Hi Rolf,

would you mind if I took a look at your Skylar version? I've modified my templates for Joomla 6 so that everything works with the BC plugin disabled, including changing the settings.

Don't worry, I own all of Joomla51's templates; I can gladly provide proof.

Best regards, and I wish everyone a happy and relaxing Easter.

I think that's great!

Suggestion:
Perhaps you could start a new thread with the correct title for this template.

Since the private messaging system isn't working well here, it would be helpful if you could provide a contact address where people can write to you and provide proof of purchase.
