Hi again

This is concerning the footer area.

Image footer1 shows the home page footer area - left copyright - right hidden menu that isn't really hidden but is in the position I want to use for my client.
Image footer2 shows the footer area as seen on other pages of the site - left the copyright details as I have them entered in the copyright area in the template settings and on the right the not hidden hidden menu item.

I've searched and dug around but haven't figured out why this is happening.

I'm getting close to preview to my client and really excited to show them their new site. (man you should see the old sad site).

Many thanks again,
Alison

Hi Alison

This is most likely caused by having multiple template styles (Extensions -> Templates -> Styles). To make life a little easier, firstly I would recommend deleting any styles that you are not using. For the remaining template styles ensure you have the same copyright information set in each (General -> Copyright) and the same footer menu set (General -> Menus).

Thanks Ciaran

I wanted to do this for house cleaning purposes but wasn't familiar enough with your templates yet to go deleting things.

Running a backup and crossing my fingers :)

Ok so even though Layout 6 is set to ALL pages the non-default "home" layout is still boss and turning it off the home styling goes wonky.

Filed under learning your template system. :)

The best way to check this is to look at the Menu Assignment tab of your template settings. In Joomla a template will always display on the menu items it is assigned to. If no template is assigned to a menu item then the default template will be displayed.

OK thanks - I've not worked with multi templates before. Maybe I don't even need them here I was just trying to get the Hayley 6 template styling look and the single side column on a couple pages. Typically I would manage that using menu assignments within the module.
