We have six different joomla 2.5 sites using the Evolution template (see http://www.hospitalpractice.net/ for example). In each case, the background elements at the top and bottom do not go all the way to the right in portrait view on an iPhone

Any idea how to prevent this?

Thanks

Hello

Due to a number of security issues with this version, I am sorry to say we not longer support Joomla 2.5. May I suggest updating your site to Joomla 3.x (inc. template) which will hopefully resolve this issue for you. If not please post a URL to an example of the issue and we will examine this further.

I've not seen a reply like that before. Joomla 2.5 has been gone for quite a while now – how would helping us solve a problem with your template be a security issue?

We have over 200 websites running on our server, most of them version 2.5 using Joomla51 templates. Converting them all to 3x would be an overwhelming task, especially all the extensions and the CSS changes that have been employed.

We've purchased 24 Joomla51 templates over the years and have always enjoyed the quick and very helpful service that you provided. We sure would hate to see it arbitrarily ended like this...

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff

The security issue is regarding all Joomla versions prior to 3.4.6 (https://blog.sucuri.net/2015/12/remote-command-execution-vulnerability-in-joomla.html). This object injection vulnerability makes your sites very easy to compromise. To save you some heartache in the future I would strongly suggest updating all your Joomla sites. It is a widely known vulnerability and very easy to implement with a number of instances already been brought to our attention among Joomla51 users.

Regardless to amend your issue try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters....

@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
.wrapper960 {
width:100% !important;
}}
