Enlighten - mobile main menu item not working

When i open my site on a mobile device the main menu items that have a submenu item below them do not work. Only the sub items are linked, not the main item. When there is just a main item and no sub items, the main item does link to the correct site.

Is there a workaround to solve this?

I use the enlighten template
