How can I resize the showcase text background image to be the same size in width as the text?
Can I set the opacity of this background?

Hello

Presuming I understand you correctly, try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your template settings...

.vegas-slide {
width: 1100px;
margin: 0 auto;
}

HI Ciarán,
Apologies, not really ready to publish as yet....I have found a interim solution but may need something more permanent moving forward. Let me try and explain....
a) I am assuming that the the Header Styling under my Template is separate from the showcase module under Modules?
If so:
My Header Image and the Header Module width can be separated from the Showcase width?
Lets focus on the showcase module under Modules:
- 1st you have the showcase text - Can this text width be adjusted?
- Under the Options TAB one can load a "background Image" which is applicable to the Showcase Text and not the Header Module. I want to know
whether this width can be adjusted?
I will open my website for the day so you can have a look if necessary.
Thank you in advance for your assistance and patience in this regard!.

Hello

1st you have the showcase text - Can this text width be adjusted?

For our template demo we used a Custom module for the text. Styling can be added inline to the text elements (eg. max-width). I would suggest using the CodeMirror editor when working with HTML like this.

Example where 400px will be the width of your text...

<div style="max-width:400px; margin:200px 30px;">
<h2>
Strive to Inspire!
</h2>
<p>Duis aute irure dolor reprehenderit voluptate velit esse cillum dolore fugiat lore ipsum dolor sit amet consectetur adipisicing elit sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna.</p>
</div>

Under the Options TAB one can load a "background Image" which is applicable to the Showcase Text and not the Header Module. I want to know

The background image is for the header and showcase modules.

whether this width can be adjusted?

To set the width to the slideshow you can use the previously suggested CSS...

.vegas-slide {
width: 1100px;
margin: 0 auto;
}
