Hello Ciaran,

I am using Layla for a Second Shopping cart. I am trying to get the Ecwid Search Function to replace the lovely Smart Search.

I currently have the Ecwid Search Function Assigned to Header 3 Position and it is not showing, I have assigned to other positions and.... no bother it shows..... So I have a double Barrelled Question

  1. (Preferred) Can the Joomla51 Smart Search be Configured to Search the Ecwid Database? OR
  2. Can you have a look and tell me why the Ecwid Search is Not showing in Header 3 position?

For Number 2. My Bad..... It was me Sorry... I had hidden the Search Function in the Ecwid Settings.

Still.....Would it be Possible to Make the Ecwid Search Look like the J51 Search?

Hello

Would you have a URL to an example of your search extension?

Hi Patrick

Presuming you are referring to position, this would not be possible as your field is part of your component. Your only hope is if this extension includes its own search module?

My apologies http://frankie3.corranny-media.com/index.php/

When I view source I can see that the Ecwid search module is there. However I cannot “see” it.
the image above is still relevant. The Layla Search is Showing, The Ecwid Custom Cart is Showing, But the Ecwid Search Module is there, but, we cannot see it

HI Patrick

Admittedly I am not familiar with this module so I can not say for sure however there appears to be some rather 'unique' styling applied to it. The module is displayed but is positioned outside of the viewport (scroll right). Your best option may be to contact the developers of the module however as a quick fix try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

html#ecwid_html body#ecwid_body .ecwid-search-widget {
left: 0;
}
