Displayproblems with the J51_SlideshowModule under Chrome (Mac OS X and Windows 7) and Opera (Windows 7)

Hello everybody,

I need help with some problems using the J51_SlideshowModule and please excuse my broken english.

First of all I'm using Joomla 3.1.5 and
the J51_SlideshowModule (Version 1.0/Feb 2012) with
the J51_OxygenFull template.

The problem
is that the J51_SlideshowModule does not show any picture under the browser Chrome. Neither under Mac OS X nor under Windows 7.
With Windows 7 the browser Opera shows only the first third of the picture in the J51_SlideshowModule.

What I checked
and everything is fine with the browsers Firefox, Safari and Opera under Mac OS X. Under Windows 7 everything is fine with Firefox and Safari. I hardly try to stay updated with the systems and the browsers. As far as I can check there is everything up to date.

To prove it
go to http://www.being-there.org

Good to know
is that there is only one picture in the image folder. This is how it should be. And it worked already for several weeks.

But now I am perplexed and helpless. Can anybody please help me?

Kind regards

Hello

Could you try creating a duplicate of your image and see if this resolves the issue. The slideshow needs at least 2 image to function correctly. Duplicating the same image should give you the effect of displaying a single image.

Hello and thank you Ciarán,

it resolves the issue and everything is fine.

Do you have an explanation why it works for several weeks with only one image. Also in different browsers?
This is not absolutely necessary - I'm only interested.

Hi Hinki

To be honest I can not give you an accurate answer. I am somewhat surprised it had worked for you when using a single image. Rather than using the slideshow in this instance it would be sometimes recommended to use a Custom HTML module instead (Extensions -> Module Manager -> New -> Custom HTML, placing your single image in the 'Custom Layout' field.

Hi Ciarán

and thank you for your truthful answer.
First of all I used more than one image and the J51_SlideshowModule was the best solution i can imagine. It's wonderful.
That was my choice, my proposal.
Then the customer reduced the images on one. It works with the J51_SlideshowModule and so I didn't change.

That's the story.

Thank you for your efforts.
