Custonization of template Enterprise not possible for Joomla 4 version

After installing template Enterprose on my Joomla 4 site, the site works ok. As soon as I open the style and save it again, I et the error below. Also, when I make a copy of the original style and edit the copy, I get the same error. Installing and customizing template Boutique works on the same site though.

0 - json_decode(): Argument #1 ($json) must be of type string, array given
