Creating a New Joomla51 Menu

Hi Ciarán,

Although this may sound a little daft - please could you amuse me?

Please could you explain the suggested methods to create a solely Joomla51 template style menu so that I know I am maximising my Joomla51 template's potential.

I don't mind how simply this is put - I just want to ensure that I am going about the correct way to maximise all that the Joomla51 template has to offer.

Hello

Presuming I understand you correctly setting your main menu for your template is as simple as selecting the menu of your choice from within the 'Menus' tab of your templates parameters.

To create a menu please.

Does the template only apply settings to a menu already created?

Should I be using a Joomla51 module to create the menu? If so which one please?

Yes the template will only add an already created menu. You can edit/create your menu via the 'Menu Manager' of your Joomla administration.

No menu module needs to installed/setup as this is all done by the template.
