Contact page not showing like in the demo

I have the template Impulse. On the contact page, the boxes around the different modules "contact" "contact form" "links" etc. are not showing, instead I get a regular hyperlink, just isn't like on the demo page, I use Joomla 3.1 in French, I tried installing the demo installer in english with the demo content and had the same issue. Plus the text "Send an email. All fields with an * are required" is in big white letters and unreadable. The site is on localhost. Could somebody help. Thank you.

To better style your contact form for try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters..

font-size: 14px;
