Trying to set up the showcase with my new site based on the clarity template. I can get the showcase to appear, and the basis joomla jpgs found in /images/banners appear. However, I can't get a basic jpg to appear after uploading.

What should the properties of the jpg file be in order to work with the showcase?

Hi Andy

Ensure that your image names do not have any spaces within them.. ( use 'myimage.jpg' not 'my image.jpg') as this can cause the image not to be recognised.

I've confirmed that the image has no spaces in the name. I've also noticed that, although the max upload size states 10MB, I can't seem to upload anything over 100kB.

What properties (h x w) or size limits should the images adhere to? Is the upload location (/sitename/images/banners) the correct place?

Hi Andy

Your upload limit would be down to your server settings however as you could install the template that should cross out that possibility.

For our demo the images used are 960px * 420px

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Sorry to say we would be unable to access your site on a localhost.

Have you tried placing the images in the same folder as the default Joomla images (/images/banners)?

I've done so, yes. I can get a simple logo jpg to appear, but no other jpgs will appear.

I've discovered the issue. The pictures had an extension of .JPG instead of .jpg. Once I set it to lowercase, the slideshow works fine. Thanks for your suggestions!
