Change color of FontAwesome arrow

Hello,
on the Florence template the 'scrolldown' button is a FontAwesome button. I'd like to change the color in red. Now I've tried al lot different things in the custom stylesheet but none is working. Hopefully someone can give me advise :)

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (edit to taste)...


.scroll-button i::before {

    color: red !important;

}

For the background I added:
.scroll-button {
background-color: #000;
}
