You appear to have a dark background set to your dropdown menu which does not contrast well with the already dark menu items. Presuming you wish keep the dark background to your dropdown you can lighten the dropdown menu items by adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters by adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters where #CCCCCC is the new color to your dropdown menu items...

    color: #CCCCCC;

}

#subMenusContainer a:hover {

    color: #DDDDDD;

}

Looking at your site source you don't appear to have any images loaded in to your articles. Is your images showing when using your article editor?
