At https://grdins.com/new-site/ we use J51 icons in a lot of places, with a lot of data. The modules are still there but all the data is gone, all the icon data is missing.
It will be hours of work to put that all back.

I removed the html folder in the J4 version and reinstalled the template as per a forum post.

I cleared the site cache, browser cache and did a database fix on the backend also.

I opened the modules and saved and closed, also the theme.

I changed the php version and changed it back.

Can you help?
Thanks much.

Hello

To amend try installing the attached update which allows the use of safe HTML in both the title and caption of each icon.

actually... I found another problem. The html is stripped from the new version. I need the HTML to be included because we have anchor links in each icon.

I found the file to increase the number of icons, so good there, just need to know how to handle the photo icons.

I have started moving the data from the backend from the J3 version to the J4 version in the individual modules.
The site wouldn't load with whichever J51 icon module you loaded so I reinstalled the one that comes with the template.
But now I have two new problems:
1) that module only allows for 8 icons. For most of our placements we are using more than that.
2) we are using photos on some. The old version has a switch to use either a font or an image. This one doesn't.

Here's a comparison for the number:
J3 https://grdins.com/business-insurance
J4 https://grdins.com/new-site/business-insurance

Here's our page from the J3 version that uses photos: https://grdins.com/about-us/meet-the-team
Do you have any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks much.

Your duplicate J3 didn't copied all files (0 Failed opening required '/home/griffithrushd233/public_html/new-site/components/com_content/helpers/route.php' (include_path='.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php80/root/usr/share/pear') )

Best is a new j3 install with a new database. Install all components/plugin Then import the existing j3 db in the new db and run fix db if needed.
Upgrade to J4 and install j4 template and j4 components/plugin

Hi Ciaran,
that's what I did. But first I duplicated the J3 site and ran the J4 update on the duplicate, then installed your J4 theme. But the J3 site is still live. Do you think if I did this over again it might work the second time?

Thank you Mike

Unfortunately, I am not sure we can import parts of your Joomla 3 database into Joomla 4. I am not familiar with how or if the database schema differs between Joomla 3 and Joomla 4 for module data. Without a backup, the best option would be to duplicate your Joomla 3 install and update to Joomla 4 Then export and import your module data from there.

Thank you so much, I just emailed you the J3 database, I hope that helps. I sent it from my other email address as I am still not receiving your emails. I changed my email address in the J51 profile section too, hopefully that helps.
Thanks so much.

Thank you Mike

I have tried installing both versions 1 and 2 of the icons module and neither appear to relate to any data in your database. This can happen if you installed one version over another and saved the icons settings. Do you have any backups of your original database prior?

Hi Mike

I replied to your email on the 18th. With the email, I included an update to the Icons module which should hopefully resolve your issue. Has this update worked for you?

I was unable to access your administration as we appear to get redirected to your homepage instead.

Yes that is there, attached are two screenshots, the screenshots don't show the params fields but those look the same.
Got any idea how to fix this?

Hello

Can you check your database to ensure that your module data still exists (#__modules table)? The icon data would be in the params column of your module.
