Hi,
I want to change the background color of the module positions content top-x and content bottom-x regardless of the article background color. I have the same problem with the background colors of base-1x and base-2x. They should be changed regardless of the background of the footer position.
Is there a solution ?
Thank you

Thomas

Hi Thomas

As the contenttop and the contentbottom modules are in the same container as the content, it is not possible to extend then to the full width of the browser. If you wish you can send temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine the possibility of adding new module positions for your purpose. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Hi Ciaran,
thank you for quick response.
But unfortunately it works incomplete. The background color changes not over the full width of the template ( contenttop ) and the background color of footers not changes.

Hi Thomas

Thank you for detailing. To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

Edit each to your own taste

.wrapper_contenttop {
background-color: #aaa;
}
.wrapper_contentbottom {
background-color: #aaa;
}
#wrapper_base-1 {
background-color: #aaa;
}
#wrapper_base-2 {
background-color: #aaa;
}
#footer-1 {
background-color: #aaa;
}
#footer-2 {
background-color: #aaa;
}

Okay, look here: http://www.iv-fotografie.berlin

The textblocks and the pictures are moduls on various positions. The aim ist to get rows with alternatly backgrounds ( white, grey,white ...)
I used the background parameters in the template's styling options. It was easy until I reached the the content area. There is no possibility to change the background colors of postions content -top and content-bottom. They use the background color defined by article background color.
The same problem occurs with the base background color. Base-1, base-2 and footers are defind with one common background color.
The question is: How can I define individual background colors for then specified positions ? (CSS )

Hi Thomas

I am not sure if I understand you correctly. Would you have a URL to an example of your modules?
