http://whitchurchchamberoftrade.co.uk/new-front-page#about slides to a point so that top of module not visible.

(I have had to insert lots of blank lines if I want heading to be visible)

whereas

http://whitchurchchamberoftrade.co.uk/new-front-page#contact works fine.

Is this an issue with the template of have I omitted to set something up right.

In each case I have been careful to put the Bookmark at the top.

Hello

As link is scrolling to the location of your ID which is within the content area of your module rather than the module itself. To link to the top of the module you can use... http://whitchurchchamberoftrade.co.uk/new-front-page#bottom_modules

That does not help and takes you to the same place with the menu overlapping the top of the screen.

Also does not give alternative way to leap to http://whitchurchchamberoftrade.co.uk/new-front-page#contact

Hello

Apologies as I hadn't taken in to account you are linking within the same page. May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Just noticed that going from
http://whitchurchchamberoftrade.co.uk/new-front-page
to
http://whitchurchchamberoftrade.co.uk/new-front-page#about
or
http://whitchurchchamberoftrade.co.uk/new-front-page#contact

overlays the menu on top of the Module whereas going to "About" or "Contacts" from
http://whitchurchchamberoftrade.co.uk/login-or-logout

The menu does not overlay until you scroll up or down.

I think I would prefer Menu always at top of screen and modules appeared below (I thought that was the idea of this template style). Maybe that's not always possible?

I note you gave added:

<script type="text/javascript">
window.addEventListener("hashchange", function () {
window.scrollTo(window.scrollX, window.scrollY - 100);
});
</script>

to the "Head Custom Code" that seems to work now on the test page.

Seems to work OK in Firefox and Chrome but not Internet Explorer.. Maybe this whole concept is not the best... i.e hopg to scroll to a booknmark with menu still visible.

Hi David

It is a bit tricky as without the use of JS the anchor will always navigate to the top of the screen which with our Caitlin template will be covered by the fixed menu which makes it not ideal. One option would be to disable the fixed menu?

Or use a different template!
Valencia seems more suitable.
You could put something on the site explaining the pros and cons of the different ways the menus are shown. e.g. contrast Florence, Ciaren and Valencia.
Valencia seems to always have the menu permanentkly at the top for any screen size. That is far better if the aim is to scroll up and down the same screen.

I can confirm that the site is now working very nicely using Valencia Template. Had a few issues with it but they are all now resolved.
