Hello,

I purchased the J51_Chimera template today. I've successfully installed the template and the autson slideshow. However, after the first image is displayed the demo images included with the slideshow always align to the left.

The first image is perfectly centered, then the second image is displayed and it appears aligned to the left, and appears to repeat after it loads so that you see the last quarter of the picture again.

I've just used the defaults, and have tried changing the fade-effect to see if this helps but it doesn't.

This issue occurs in IE 9 and Chrome, too. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi John

For best results with your slideshow I would suggest matching the dimensions within the slideshows parameters (Extensions -> Module Manager -> AutsonSlideshow) with that of your slideshow images.

Ciaran,

The default images -- the two cars -- that came with the module are the ones being displayed. They are the same dimensions as what is specified in the configuration, 800x300. BTW, this was installed in Joomla 2.5.

I think the problem may have to do with CSS in or before the Showcase module position where the autson slideshow is displayed. Here's the link to the website if you wouldn't mind taking a quick look:

Let me know if you need more information to help diagnose this problem. Thanks!

Hi John

The dimensions of your slideshow do not appear to match that of the images. Your slideshow appears to be set to width: 940px * 300px while your images are 800px * 300px.

Ciaran,

I assure you the slideshow dimensions are set to the 800 x 300 default values, the same as the images. This has not been changed.

I did some research on the javascript yesterday, and learned that the offset() function is used. The offset() function references the x and y values of the container, which would be the Showcase module position.

Offset() only returns the zero values of the x and y coordinates though, so this is why the overlay images start at the top left of the Showcase container instead of at the correct location within the slideshow itself.

An updated javascript would be very welcome. As a temporary alternative solution how can I resize the Showboat container? Please respond as soon as possible!

Thanks,

- John

Hi John

Looking at your source code the slideshow still appears to be rendering the markup at 940px * 300px.

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Thank you John

I have replaced your slideshow images with that used in our demo which extend the full width of the slideshow area. There does appear to be an issue with an offset on the slides however reverting the js files to the original should amend this issue. Otherwise the slideshow should be working correctly.

Thank you, Ciarán. I'm not sure what you mean by reverting the 'js files to the original'? I had made some test changes, but restored the backups yesterday so all the js files are be the original ones from the download. Can you please elaborate?

I appreciate your late hours in dealing with this issue!

Hi John

I have reinstalled your slideshow reverting any changes. Your module now appears to be working correctly.

I see you're logged into the admin area. I thought you were done, and was working with the styles for the container_slideshow and the settings for the slideshow module. I'll reapply my changes, no big deal.

Question: I would like to set the background color for the container_slideshow style to match the light gray of the site. What color should I specify? It'll be like the #DADADA, but lighter. Can you give me the hex values, please?

Thanks!

Try #EBEBEB to match the background of the template content area.

Hi Ciarán
I have the same issue. It seems that the autson slideshow resize my image from 800X350 (that are my settings) to 229x100 (???).

Let me know how to proceed

Thank you

Hi Andrea

Would you have a URL to an example of your slideshow with your images in place?

Hi Ciarán,
thank you for your reply.

Here's the URL: www. fotoclubcastelleone .it

(Sorry for space between words, but I don't want Google to index the link from here)

Thank you Andre

May I suggest placing your images within a frame matching in width to your slideshow (910px). As your images are 800px wide you would have a border on either side of 55px, extending the width of your images to 910px.

Sometimes I feel really stupid
I've solved resizing my original image to 910x350.

Only one thing rest unsolved: why if I set 800X350 in mod_autson images must be 910x350?

Thank you and goodbye

Hi Andrea

Simply just a cosmetic reason. We set the width of the slideshow to what we felt best suited the layout of the template.
