Attach article to grid gallery image

Hi,
Can anybody please tell me how I can link an article to my grid gallery image so that when I click on it it gets me to the article?

I have dealt with that by creating a 'hidden' sub-menu item for the article. I add it to a menu where I have configured the module that contains it to only make visible the levels above that menu item. Then I link the grid gallery image to that menu item.

Hi,
I have tried now heaps of times but I don't succeed - would you be able and willing to explain it step by step? Sorry I am really a total beginner and trial and error my way through Joomla...
