Array to String Conversion error on Grafik template

Good day
I've purchased the Grafik template some time back and am suddenly experiencing issues with it. The site has been up and running for more than a year, but recently saw that the site is not loading anymore. I cannot access the backend at all and the frontend is is displaying the following errors:

I have no idea why this could suddenly appear and any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I do not have sufficient knowledge of PHP. The site url is http://www.closeal.co.za

Hello

If you are unable to access the administration then it would indicate that it is not a template related. The template can only affect the frontend.

Have you update your server PHP or MySQL version lately? When was the last time you updated Joomla?

Hi Ciaran

Thanks for your reply. I personally haven't updated the server PHP or MySql - would this be done by the hosting company and is this a typcial error if the php has been updated? Apologies for the ignorance, I'm just concerned that the site has been hacked as I cannot even access it through the backend and I unfortunatley don't even have a backup which is a major dilemna. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello

It is possible that your hosting company upgraded your PHP version. To be sure, the best thing to do is contact them.

Can you remember what version of Joomla you are running? the ../libraries/joomla/registry directory was removed in Joomla v3.3.

Hi Ciaran

Thanks for replying. The Joomla verion I was running is 3.4 and the hosting company is running PHP 7.0- do you think that this can be the problem? Since the /libraries/joomla/registry directory was removed in Joomla v3.3, will it have any effect if I remove the registry.php folder?

Hello

Admittedly I can not say for sure if it is ok to simply remove this file. It sounds like you had an unsuccessful Joomla upgrade somewhere along the way. Try renaming it (register.backup.php), so at least you can revert if it doesnt fix the issue.
