Hi Ciaran,

I've decided to go with a One Page Website layout for my site with the Amelia template.
So I'd like to ask a question about the highlight of the active menus when clicked.

Now the Amelia demo page doesn't include any One Page Website example under its Features menu, so not sure Amelia is fully made to be a One Page Website?

However I tried to make a One Page Menu and followed the description shown in the Novah Demo Page here as I use that template on another site and I found out that the same anchor links work just fine in the Amelia template as in the Novah template which was quit nice and so my One Page Website is functional.

The only thing is that Amelia doesn't seem to include any styling for active menus when the menus are anchor links (or url)?
For normal menus to a single article or blog page, the menu gets a "current-active" added to its class when clicked/opened, but this is not the case when clicking on an url anchor menu.

Is it possible to maybe add this to the Amelia template so that when I click on my One Page Menus, they get the "active" class added to them, highlighting them, in my case to a white color (same as the hover color)?
Just like in the Novah template, where the active menu turns blue when clicked.

Hello

Usually, the active class is added by Joomla on page load. THat is not possible here as the page does not reload between clicks. May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine adding the active class with some javascript. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

H Ciaran,

So it is some javascript that adds the active class for one page menus on the newer templates like the Novah one? Would be nice to have it added to the Amelia one too. I've sent you administrator credentials to my site, thanks.

Hi Marius

Yes, this is true for our more recent templates. I have updated your Amelia template to include this feature.

Thanks Ciaran,

It works great for the menu title, but the link class, i.e the font-awesome icon doesn't seem to be included?
Is it possible to have it get highlight with the "current class" like the menu-title does?

Hello

It does actually include however is not very noticeable. To edit the current/active state of the icon you can add the following to the Custom CSS field of your template settings...

Edit to taste..

.hornav > ul > li:hover a, .hornav > ul > li.current a::before {
color: #c3de5f !important;
}
