Hello again

In the Lifestyle template at http://ecchoir.co.uk/index.php/members-own-stories I am sharing the stories and experiences of some of the members of a choir. Some have disabilities or impairments that they describe. I would like the name of the disability or syndrome to point to a text box which would give a simple explanation of the condition. However the present link to Asperger's Syndrome then takes the reader away from a choir in Cumbria and off to the site which deals with autism. What I want is a small text box that I can link to to simply describe, say Asperger's Syndrome as being, say, "a mild form of autism which can affect understanding and social interaction rather than the life and times of Asperger himself and what his Mammy said about him and so on. I don't want the site visitor to vanish.
I am sure there is a way of doing this already and apologise for not being able to find it. Please point me in the right direction.

Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian

Presuming I understand you correctly you are looking for the option to include a modal box with some text. Maybe something like the following is what you have in mind (free download)?... http://demo.nonumber.nl/index.php/12-modals

Hi Ciarán

I'm so sorry but the thing I was looking for was tooltips. It's so difficult making yourself understood when you don't know how to describe it. After googling for about an hour I discovered what I wanted and it's a simple free plugin Tooltip GC http://extensions.joomla.org/extension/tooltip-gc.

When I was a kid on holiday in France I wanted to buy a football. I asked for a large circle with nothing in it. The right word was football. Things haven't changed much.

So for those poor souls who struggle as I do, a tooltip is a natty wee box that opens up when you hover over a particular word, as in Asperger's Syndrome on http://ecchoir.co.uk/index.php/members-own-stories

The modal thing works but is more than I needed. Thanks again.

Regards

Ian
