I'd like to add a new ID like:
#sub-header {
z-index: 100;
border-radius: 5px;
}
which I've added to custom.css to define the image in module postion top-1a
but it doesn't have any effect and does not show up in "inspect elements"
I've created a Custom HTML module to hold the image
<div id="sub-header"><img src="images/headers/subHeader980x71_powering.jpg" alt="" /></div>
I also want it to appear in front of everything around it so have used z-index:100; but doesn't work.

The image appears below and behind the header image above, see http://j31.thesciencecouncil.com/

What am I missing?

thanks,

keith

Hi Keith

When creating your module ensure you have set your editor to 'CodeMirror' (Global Configuration) as it appears your default editor is 'cleaning' your code on save and therefore removing the containing #sub-header div.

Yup, works...Thanks.
...but it's still behind the header.
I can work with that but prefer to place my new img "infront" of the header.

thanks again,

Keith

Hi Keith

To place the top-1# module position above the header you will have to edit the z-index of its outside containing div (#body_bg) which may not give you the desired result as it will include a large portion of your site. To do so add the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

#body_bg {
z-index: 10;
}
