My client wants me to add navigation to his Renita template slideshow in the form of arrows or bullets.
How can I do that?

Hello

We have just updated our Renita Joomla template. Included in this update is the option to add navigation to the header image slideshow. For details on updating your template may I suggest the following article.. https://joomla51.com/tutorials/item/updating-your-template

I installed the updated version of the Renita template and turned on "Header Images Navigation"
but I still do not have any arrows or bullets that will allow me to navigate between my slides.
Is there some module or plugin that must also be published to activate slideshow navigation?
Please see the attached screenshot of my slideshow settings.

Hello

Would you have a URL to an example of your slideshow? Have you trying clearing your browser cache / full refresh (CTRL + F5)?

Thank you Marc

Strangely we can not replicate this issue locally. May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Just wondering have you any server side caching enabled? Strangely the code in your template manager (Extensions -> Templates -> Templates - Retina) no way reflects the code been loaded in your frontend. Server side caching may be one possible reason.

Thank you for checking this out Ciaran. I appreciate your help with this issue.
I just called my hosting company, they cleared the server side cache and I cleared my browser cache but the slideshow navigation still does not appear.
What is the next step? How can I add the navigation that my client wants?

Hi Mort

Firstly remove any template styles you are not using. Also it appears you have duplicated the template. To avoid any confusion could you remove the duplicate presuming you are not using it?

Hi Ciarán,

I removed as many templates as I could. There is an extra Renita Default template that it would not let me remove.
I will need your help to remove it.

Thanks,
Mort

Hi Mort

As the duplicate that you created has the exact same name as the original, this may revert your template settings to their default. Is this a problem?

Hi Mort

Your duplicate template has been removed. The remaining template has updated without issue.
