Hello I have the Executive template, and I really like it.
A while ago I noticed some changes on my website and I don't know how to fix it.

1) The slideshow is not working. (now only 1 image appears and it wont slide like it used to)
2) In my news feed (showing featured articles) I had set that the read more text doesn't show. Now it is showing (but the settings in the menu are set to not show "read more";)
3) Also the images in the intro text of the articles (applying to all articles) are cropped and smaller than they used to (I have not changed the size in the article settings).
4) in my category blogs/lists some of the articles have the whole intro text is shown (before the read more) but in others there is only a small part of the intro text that is shown, before the read more.
5) The social icons are not working. I wanted to link a Facebook page but the social icon appears only greyed out. You can not click it.

Any suggestions what I might do to fix this? It appeared just suddenly. Could it be after a Joomla update?
Kind Regards,

Hello

1. May I suggest the following article on troubleshooting our J51 slideshow module.. http://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/troubleshooting-the-slideshow

2. Try disabling the 'read more' option in the menu item linking to your news feed.

3./4./5. Would you have a URL to an example of this issue?

Note that issues 2, 3 and 4 would not be template related issues.

Dear Ciarán,

1. I am not using the J51 slideshow, where can I download it?

2. I have already disabled the "read more" option in the menu item linking to my news feed. And it also worked until a few days ago.

Hello

1. I have made this module available for you to download at the following dropbox URL.. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/110280303/mod_j51slideshow.zip

2,3,4. May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine these issues for you. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

5. It appears that your new module position is overlaying your social icons. To resolve this try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

#socialmedia {
z-index: 101;
}

Thank you Heida

Your remaining issues appear to have been related to the 'Content - Read Less - Text' (Extensions -> Plugin Manager). I have disabled this plugin and everything appears to be now displaying correctly.
