I used a program called MigrateMe to upgrade a site to 4.0. Apparently Joomla51 uses MooTools in their templates Javascript library and J.4 does not include MooTools. I need a solution to this issue. As I soon as I installed the 4.0 template I got a 500 error BEHAVIOR::CAPTION NOT FOUND - it seems the Moo Tools in 3.0 templates hangs around

Hello

It sounds like you may have some old J3 overrides remaining in your template. To resolve try deleting/renaming your ../templates/[YourTemplate]/html folder and re-installing your template.

Ciaran:

I am a designer not a developer so I am not sure how to do what you are suggesting. Can you be more specific as to the actual steps involved please? I use your templates for all of my clients and I will need to know how to solve this if it happens with every migration. Thanks.

log into the server where the website is located, go the the domain name, then map public_html, then map templates, then, the template used and delete the html folder. Re-install the template.
