2 weird issues.

1.) Set Global parameters so there would not be two titles in an article in new Joomla site being prepared on localhost. Downloaded your Nadia template free to try before I buy. Things started out well. Added 4 new articles. No issues. Then modified the existing Getting Started article to make it an About Us article. Noticed on the front end there were two titles at beginning of Article, even though Global Parameters for both the article and menu were set to not show title. Weird!

2.) So then I deleted the Getting Started article and also deleted it from Trash. Then I tried to check it on the front end and get a 404 error!

Hi Alan

Regarding the 404 error it sounds like your menu item is still linking to the deleted article. Try creating a new article and then creating a menu item linking to that article. The issue regarding the double title sounds like both the category title and article title were been displayed. If you get the issue again may I suggest replying with a URL to an example of the issue and we will examine this further.

Found part of the problem.

The 404 occurred as the article was featured and when removed the landing page would not load. Yes a little touchy, but understandable. I solved by reinstalling everything.

The double title I have not figured out.

Hello

Would you have a URL to an example of your double titles?

Ciaran:

What led up to the double title is I took the existing "Getting Started" article and changed it to an About Us article. When I did it showed two title in that article. Other articles that had been freshly created did not have the double title problem.

Then I deleted both the template and Joomla and reinstalled everything from scatch (third time) I did not modify the "Getting Started" article and other articles were not affected.

Now we have a new issue.
I created 6 new articles without any issues. On the 7th article it failed to assign an ID number when I pasted content in from Text Edit. It appeared to paste but content immediately disappeared??? Then, I put that article in the Trash and when I tried to delete the trash that defective article would not delete. Instead it gives me this error???

Warning
Delete not permitted.

I am stumped. I don't find anything on the web about this issue.

I like the template a lot. I would like to buy it, including extended support if possible, if we can get it working. Please advise,

Alan

The template can only effect the frontend of your site. Presuming I understand you correctly, this issues appears to be strictly an administration issue.

Details can be emailed to info@joomla51.com. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.
