Hi,
I have uploaded the beautiful Layla template to a local MAMP website.
When I try to switch to e.g. example style 2 (or any of the other example styles) it does not load but jumps back to not so nice and limited default version.
Is there a way to install example styles on a local installation?

Kind regards, Wouter

Hi Wouter

Are you getting any error messages when you try to load one of the example styles from your template settings?

Hi Ciaran,
No, I do not get any error messages. It just jumps back to default.
It looks like example style 2 is installed but when I click the ok button it jumps back to default.
See screenshots.

Hi Wouter

We have done a full test locally and are unable to replicate any issues. Loading the preset will not affect the title of your style. Instead, it changes the values of all the fields to the selected style from the dropdown. Can you confirm if this is the case?

Hi Ciaran,
Correct, loading a preset does not affect the title of the style in the back end. But is should change the temple style in the front end of Layla. As it does in other templates such as Novah, which I just tested and there it works.

It remains a mystery for me: how come I can choose between example styles in e.g. Novah and not in Layla?
Hope there is a solution.

Thanks, Wouter

Hi Wouter

As you are on a localhost, it is very difficult for us to say. All of our own local tests with this template, work without any issues. If it is possible to host your Joomla installation, we will examine this issue further.

Hi Cairan,
Hmm, on all of my previous J51 templates on my local host I can select the various example styles. But not with Layla.
On a live site it work, fortunately. There I can select all of them.
Thanks for your help; too bad there is no solution for this.
Kind regards, Wouter:(

Hi Cairan,
Now the same problem occurs on a live site:
2021iasjconference.nl
I am unable to change default to example style 2.
What could be wrong / am I doing wrong?

Best, Wouter

Ah, I got it: I deleted the account from the browser memory, and in the back end I changed in Extension, Templates, de default to Homepage (and not to default that comes with the installation).
So: problem solved! Sorry for bothering you!
Kind regards, Wouter
