Today I finally pushed through the challenge of learning to install the slideshow and other visual elements, starting with my Renovate site (morninglightmusic.org). It turned out so pretty, thanks for such a beautiful template. I did however observe a few issues I'm hoping you can help me with:
1) Disappearance of drop downs on mobile devices, on homepage displaying slideshow:: The drop downs still work well on regular computers - but on my iPad and ipHone the menu would not drop down - which is a major problem since those drop down items provide access to all the rest of the site. (For that reason, I'm not doing Responsive.) As an experiment, I unpublished the slideshow and tried it again - sure enough, the drawdowns worked fine without the slideshow; also even when the slideshow is published the drop downs work great on all portable devices.
2) Size of images for slideshow and background image in Renovate: First I tried sizing the to the sizes indicated in the template. (1100x395 for the slideshow.) This resulted in a thin little strip of image - not in the least resembling the sizing on the Renovate demo. So I experimented - ended up with 1200x800, set to 100% - this looked nice on the page. Is that OK, or do you see any problem with that sizing?
3) Similarly, I use one of my slideshow images also for my background in Renovate. I made a blank custom module in Bottom position to get the image to display there... Finally got it to work - it looks absolutely gorgeous on the 17" Macbook I built it on. (Again, used a 1200x800 version of the picture. However, on my other devices that bottom module shows up a strange size - just the very bottom of the image (grey) with . Is there a way to get this background txto
I hope you can help me resolve these issues, as I LOVE the template and how it displays this materials. Thanks - Carrie
