# Make ready for Joomla 6

but you need the backward plugin enabled

Thank you. It works fine.

Sorry, I'm being a bit dense. Where can I find the "Backwards Compatibility Plugin"?

I couldn't find it in my Joomla 6 directory either.

Oh my god!

Sorry, I found it, in German it's called:"Verhalten – Abwärtskompatibilität "

Hello guys,
as we haven't heard from Ciaran within the last months, even not in 2026, I lost all hope to get anything new or even a template for J6 that does not need the backwards compatibility plugin.
I did some work on J51 Emani and if you want to try, you can contact me here and I send you the link.
It works without the Joomla Behaviour – Backward Compatibility plugin.
It is the pure Emani template for J5 and J6 without any modules and no demo-installer. All usage is at own risk. We did some tests and it all worked fine.

Hi Oliver,

Could it be that i haven't got a reply yet?

Hi Oliver,

I did also some work on J51 Emani and I checked that the last version I bought was the same for Joomal Version 4. So it would be great if you could sent me the link you mentioned in your threat here.

Thanks in advance Jürgen

I do not know if the internal messages in this forum still work.
I answered you both today, if you got no message, let me know here pls.

Hi Oliver,

maybe you are a German??

I saw in the link "Lorchweb" this should be somewhere in Germany??

If I am right it would be easier to do further conversations in German

Thanks for the github link, i will test it asap,

Jürgen

Hello Oliver,
I would be very interested in the template and would be grateful if you could send me a link to it.

Greetings
Michael

i've tried using Oliver version of Emani to adapt Naomi template. That went well but with errors. After a day trying and adapting I used chatgpt and now i have a fully working Naomi j6 template. Its not that difficult and all templates could be updated tot j6 native.

Today i also updated mod j51news, modj51imagehover for J6 native and a updated version of Ol;ivers version of modj51layerslidershow using chatgpt

Hi toghether!

I'm currently experimenting with Claude to convert Templates and Modules to newer Versions. A test with an entire Website worked very good. I'm now testing If updates are working in the migrated version.

FrancW In my opinion, ChatGPT isn't the right tool. Use Claude instead, it's a Schweizer-Messer for technician.

could be, but Chatgpt did the trick as well. It took a few times to get it right. Might try claude later on.
