Hi,

in many or maybe all templates (for example Enlighten) the sidebar background colour will override the main content background colour in small responsive mode. Normally with responsive sites each block keeps its own background, unless specified otherwise in custom CSS.

Also the sidebar content will show above the main content in small responsive mode. Normally, the main content shows first, followed by secondary and other content. This is the other way round, which makes no sense to visitors. It's not in the main content area for a reason. Showing a site on a small screen should not affect content priorities.

To amend the ordering of your side column module in relation to your component area may I suggest the following article... http://www.joomla51.com/forum/8-commercial-templates/5068-calibra-changing-the-responsive-layout#9990

Hi Ciarán,

thanks for your reply. Can you please inform what file(s) are changed? I'd like to see what is changed, and I don't like to reinstall a complete template.

Regards,
Jurgen

Hi Jurgen

Changes varied from one of template to the next.Any templates in particular?

Note that re installing the template will simply update the template files and not effect any of your template settings.

Hello

For our Enlighten template the following was added to the templates styles.php (../templates/j51_enlighten/php/styles.php)..

/* Sidecolumn background color */
.backgrounds #sidecol_a , .backgrounds #sidecol_b, #sidecol_a, #sidecol_b {
background-color: <?php echo $elementcolor7; ?>;
}

Hi Ciarán,

i am having a similar problem with a side bar module I have just added to my client's Calibri template. On mobile devices the bar is showing up as dark brown. I went to my account to download Calibri again but it is no longer there.
I have emailed you at the admin email to ask for assistance but wasn't sure what details I would need to give you?

Is it at all possible to have access to download the amended version of the template?

Hi Marien

Installing the latest download of your template should resolve this issue for you. Re download the template via your 'My Downloads' and install the template via your Joomla 'Extensions Manager'. No template style settings will be lost in the update.
