Hi,
By default the j51_slideshow module in this theme is unable to let each slide be a link.
How do I have clickable links that work on the slides - and ideally, how do I add a distinct clickable button to the slides?

Thanks Ciaran,
Yes I have added a slide link to each slide already in that way - yet it remains unclickable.

Hello

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

.slidelink {
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
right: 0;
bottom: 0;
}

Hello

I realise that this is possible with the latest version of the LayerSlideshow module which I have installed to your Joomla env. You now have the option to open links in a new window with each image (add a link to display the option).

Hello

This option should be available to you via the Slide Link option with each item within the Image(s) tab of your LayerSlideshow module settings?

Hello

As the option is not available by default, the only solution is to create an override for your module and set the target attribute to open in a new window for your slide item. If you are not familiar with overrides, may I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will create the override for you. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Ok I tried doing this and I followed the instructions here https://www.joomlart.com/tutorials/joomla-4-tutorials-how-to-create-override-for-modules-components-and-layout but do not know exactly where in the code to place it. The code is beautiful though.

Kindest Regards,
JT
