Hi Ciarán, I am setting up the J51_news module, now in Joomla 4.
I have placed it inside an article which is loaded when the news menu-item is clicked.
And this works, it shows the news items, when I click one it shows the article and not the module anymore.
However..sorry, there is a but..it does not display any of the intro images. I am testing different settings for that, but I have not found out how to do this yet. (I didn't find it in the J51_News tutorial).

After I have this working, I need to add some general "back" button to the article, or maybe breadcrumps, so the reader can go back to the overview.

Thank you in advance for any tips you can give me!

Best regards (and best wishes for 2023!)

Did you insert the image in the content article under the tab: "Images and links" in: "Intro image"?

oh sh*t..I might be in a big problem here..as I do not have that tab..on this page..I do have it on a clean installed Joomla 4, but not on our main domain, which was upgraded from a joomla 3 version..

So I read your reply, got scared..checked plugins..and noticed there are some leftovers that can no longer be uninstalled as there are paths missing. files not found etc..Looks like I need to cleanup my Joomla4...I already tried reinstalling the core files..didn't work..so the only thing I can think of is that there is too much old stuff still in the fils and db clogging up the new workflows or so..
Not sure where to go from here..

Have you tried: "System -> (Maintenance) database -> and then "update Structur"?
Furthermore, did you download the J51 template again?
If in doubt, import the backup and try everything again?
Is it possible that there are extensions in the J3 version of your site that are not J4 capable? you have to find out or update walls before updating from J3 to J4

ok I found it..took me way too long, but the tab with the name intro and links is something that can be enabled/disabled in the default edit layout in your general article settings all the way at the bottom..for some reason, it was switched off...now it is on again and everything works..

OK. I didn't even know it was so easy to turn off.
Well, the problem is solved!
