Your description is good, but one point is missing: If you have an article created with your own module, it is also necessary to check if the switch under options is set to "prepare content" (see picture). Otherwise the module in the module is not shown.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Much appreciated. I have just updated the tutorial, adding a foot note on enabling the Prepare Content option when loading a module inside a custom module.
