Note that to install the demo content ensure to select 'Default English (GB) Sample Data' under 'Install Sample Data' on the 3rd step of your Joomla installation.

Hello,
when I follow the demo installer instructions (upload files to the root of ftp server, have a mySQL ready, etc.) and then I followed the link above. I get stuck at the following -> Start Install -> Main Configuration
With the above requirements met, a database created and the required Joomla! files in place, you are ready to install Joomla!. Start the Joomla! web installer by opening your favorite browser and browsing to the site's domain name. On host installation you will use http://www.yoursitename.com. Start Install .... If I enter my site http://www.velvet-arabians.at then I only get the homepage … no installation starts … Anything I missed?

I have tried to follow those steps now again on another (virgin) hp … up-loaded each file manually per ftp. But I have no cpanel (so I can not follow these exact instructions) also by creating the mySQL there is a difference. I can create one per mouse click in the host log-in - it gives you instant a db incl. username and password (I do not see the step if I have ALL PRIVILEGES and I can not find where to check or change this if it would not be the case. So I go on to step 3. of your setting up instructions -> enter http://www.horses4manager.at and first I just got the 'dummy start page' but no installation steps start. I have a hp with your letterpress template which is working fine, but there I did not install the demo but only the template (I used the easy install button for joomla from world4you on that one). I don't really know what the problem is …

Hi Connie

May I suggest installing Joomla 3 using your 'easy install button'. You can then forward us FTP access to the root of your Joomla installation and we will attempt to 'convert' this to a copy of the template demo. Details can be sent to info@joomla51.com.
