Hey Ciaran
Ya me again on Hayley. Made a video again as I hope it shows the behaviour easier.
https://watch.screencastify.com/v/cYRlrdi04wih6edRzekC
https://barrygoldstein.net/

EDIT: I'm going to put the content elsewhere so not a panic on this but would like to know why this behaviour is happening as I should be able to use that position without it inheriting formatting. ie 1a should give me full width if I'm not using 1b etc. I've also run into this on Layla in the footer when trying to use the position A then have something on the right. It doesn't seem to be following usual BS rules. Thanks again for any insights.

Because this is the clients live site I'm going to unpublish the module in question so it doesn't look all screwy for their clients. Your site log in is still active from the other week.

Thanks as always :)

Hey Alison

Thank you for the detailed video.

So considering you are using 3 of the module positions and I assume have not overruled the widths via the Module Widths tab of your template settings, each of the module positions will have a width of 33%. When you added your 4th module to top-1a, this width remains at 33% as you are still only using 3 module positions.

There is 2 position solutions.

1. Use the Manual Widths tab of your template settings and enable the manuals widths feature. You can then set the widths as follows and place your 4th text module in the top-1d module position. As you will see, the 100% width module position will wrap to a new line.
..
top-1a: 33%
top-1b: 33%
top-1c: 33%
top-1d: 100%

2. Use the top-2a module position for your 4th text module.

I hope this helps :)
