Everly and LayerSlideshow won't work together

Hi
I'm having troubles with the Everly template and the LayerSlideshow - they don't work together. The Slideshow in the showcase position pops up for half a second and then disappears...
Any ideas why?

Thank you

Enabling the Autoplay Transitions option in the the General Settings tab of your module settings has resolved the issue.

then... I'm having another problem with the slideshow on a different page - I configured it like always, but it won't run, it stands still on the first picture.
Why?

Thank you for the update. Sorry to say at present the LayerSlideshow only supports image-based file formats.

Actually just figured out it might have to do with the scripts in the content (videos, mp3 etc.).
