Central - December Joomla Template Release

We are delighted to announce that our December Joomla template release has just hit the shelves! Of course we realise it is not quite December yet but we decided to get this release to you early. This month we bring you the very stylish and sleek 'Central', a highly versatile template solution we hope will fit perfectly with a wide array of web projects from commercial right across to educational and everything in between. This months release has been carefully crafted with some unique styling options which will allow your project to stand out from the crowd with a minimal amount of effort.

Once again we have gone with a full screen option which creates a perfect shop front for your site which once you scroll down the page will animate beautifully in to a clean canvas for your site content. As the main logo falls out of view it is replaced by a more compacted version sitting along side your main menu all easing nicely down from the top of the page. This allows your site content to be unobstructed by the header but still making navigation options available to the user at all times.

For the first time we have included an exciting new extension call 'J51 Carousel'. This module extension allows you to add any content in to a beautiful responsive carousel slider. This fully touch enabled carousel uses the excellent Owl Carousel script, all easily configured with a wide array options within the modules settings. Content is added to each block of the carousel via a Joomla editor so anything you can add to an article, you can place with in your carousel.

Another début with 'Central' is the introduction of a collection of 'Utility Classes'. These utility classes define a set of methods that perform common, often re-used functions. Simply add the class name to an element to apply the styling of that class name. So for example if you have a module on a dark background which is making the default dark text within the module unreadable then simply add the class name 'text-light' to that module to make all the text within that module white. Other classes available allow you to control such things like padding, margin and background colors. All going down well we would be hoping to extend on this feature in future template releases. Be sure to mention in the comments section below of other utility classes you would like to see included with your Joomla51 template.

Yet another new detail with our 'Central' template is some new responsive options regarding the side column modules. A regular request on the forums was how to change the stacking order of the side column modules in relation to the article/component on a smaller screen devices. By default the side column module would always appear above the article/component area so we have now added the option within the templates parameters to change this with the simple press of a button.

Of course all the usual features you have come to expect from Joomla51 templates are there including a newly styled GridGallery module, options to include some sleek parallax background images of your choice to an extended number areas of the template along with all the color choosers and layout options you could ask for. Getting your project off the ground and looking beautiful has never been easier!

We would be delighted to hear what you think of this months template release so be sure to let us know in the comments section below!
