In order to use the Moo dropdown menu it is first necessary to set up your menu to have Parent/Child relationships. The Parent menu item will be the head menu item while the Child menu item will be your sub-menu item, the menu item within your dropdown.

For this tutorial we are gong to use Joomlas sample contents Main Menu item module.

Log in to your Joomla admin and navigate to your Main Menu menu item manager (Menus -> Main Menu).



The Menu Item Manager lists the menu items contained in a menu created using the Menu Manager.  Once you have accessed the Menu Item Manager click on the menu item you wish to make a sub-item or 'child' in your menu. On your item details page you will notice the Parent Item parameter along the left of your screen.



It is with this parameter you assign a parent item to the item you are editing.  As default the Parent Item is set to Top. In this case, we are going to set the parent to Joomla! License.



Once you have selected your parent item click Save and you have then created the first parent/child relationship. In this case we have the Joomla! License menu item to be the parent to the Joomla! Overview menu item



You can repeat the process to as many links as you need.
