A popular feature with most Joomla51 templates is the Moomenu dropdown. The Moomenu gives your dropdown menu's a smooth and fluid animated effect. Setting up your animated horizontal menu can be done quickly by carefully following a few simple steps.
Log in to your Joomla admin and navigate to your Module Manger ( Extensions -> Module Manager).
From the Module Manager select the menu module you wish to configure as your horizontal menu. (For this tutorial we have selected the Top Menu module from Joomla's sample data.
Within the module parameters firstly we will set the Module Details as follows.
Most importantly your Show Title is set to No and Position is set to hornav.
Next we follow on to the Module Parameters to the right of the screen and set them up as follows.
Finally click on the Advanced Parameters and set them as follows.
The Menu Class Suffix should be set to _horiz.
At this point you can click Save and your finished.
Your sub-menu items should now appear as a dropdown with a smooth animated effect.
